08.00am. start pick up from your hotel, driving around the old city area of Chaingmai to Wat Doi Suthep the landmark of Chaingmai, one of northern Thailand's most sacred temples.The wát is a beautiful example of northern Thai architecture, reached by a 306-step staircase flanked by naga (serpents); the climb is intended to help devotees accrue Buddhist merit.The monastery was established in 1383 by King Keu Naone to enshrine a piece of bone from the shoulder of the Lord Buddha.
Wat Palad hidden temple, a jungle temple paradise. Jungle temples, as opposed to community temples that are found in the city, serve primarily as a calm place for monks to live and meditate. With old stone buildings, intricate carvings and statues, and plenty of breathtaking places to meditate, it’s clear why people claim Wat Pha Lat is a hidden gem in Chiang Mai.
