Overview

Journey through the rainforest, high up in the mountains east of Chiang Mai.
We'll explore a stunning village nestled among towering mountains, meet and have a chat with the locals and enjoy some local treats.

After visiting the village we'll hike along a secluded 3km trail through the forest. We'll see one of the oldest trees in Chiang Mai, hike to some waterfalls and admire the flora and fauna along the way. If you're feeling energetic we can adjust the distance and hike some trails not found in any travel guide or travel agent so just let us know!

Finally we will stop for a cup of locally grown coffee in one of the quaint cafe's and have lunch in the village before returning to the city to round off a memorable experience.

Mae Kampong Village

After an hour drive we arrive in Mae Kampong village. We will explore the intricate network of alleys in this beautiful village before heading into the jungle to explore a seldom visited trail with ancient trees, streams and verdant jungle.

Hike up Mae Kampong waterfall and cool off in refreshing pools and enjoy a coffee in a delightful coffee shop looking over the village.

For those looking for a longer hike, we can visit Kew Fin located on the border between Chiang Mai and Lampang with stunning panoramic views.

On the journey back to Chiang Mai we will briefly stop off at San Kamphaeng hot springs for a wander around and to soothe our feet in the hot pools. From here it is 30 minutes drive back to Chiang Mai city.
