Overview

The Golden Triangle is where Myanmar, Cambodia, and Thailand meet. This tour ticks off some of the most under-the-radar spots in the region. You'll take a boat ride to the Burma and Laos border, visit the White Temple of Chiang Rai and meet the women of the Long Neck hill tribe – famous for the stacked brass rings they wear to elongate their necks.

What To Expect

Wat Rong Khun

An early morning drive through the beautiful Northern scenery, with a stop at the Hot Springs at Mae Kajan. We drive on to visit Wat Rong Khun (White Temple) which is completely white in color.

Mae Sai

We continue on to the border town of Mae Sai, where just across the bridge lies the Burmese town of Tachilek and there is time to shop for some Burmese souvenirs (such as sarongs, puppets, handicrafts, and Burmese cheroots). Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local Restaurant.
Visit the famous Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Burma, and Laos meet at the confluence of the Ruak and Mekong Rivers.

Longneck Karen Village

As an option, you have a chance to enjoy a boat ride to view the scenery and splendor of the mighty Mekong River. On our way back to Chiang Mai a visit to a Longneck Village is optional on request.
